Instructions for Authors
Journal of Macrofungi 
The Journal of Macrofungi (Macrofungi) welcomes submissions of 
original, high-quality scientific work in the fields of mycology, mushroom, and 
truffle research. Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English and 
conform to the journal's formatting and ethical guidelines outlined below.
Article Types Accepted
Macrofungi publishes the following types of articles:
Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communication, and 
Experimental Notes.
    Submission Requirements:
General Formatting Guidelines
    
        - Only original unpublished articles, is accepted.
 
        - File format must be .docx or .doc as in 
		template.
 
        - Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English.
 
        - Article length: 3000-8000 words.
 
    
    Figures and Tables- Figures and tables must be embedded in 
	the text.
 - All figures must be clear, high-resolution (300 dpi minimum) in PNG or JPEG.
 
	- Tables should be editable (not inserted as images).
 
	- Each figure/table must have a descriptive caption.
 
	- Cite all figures/tables in the text.
 
    Manuscript Format:
    
        - Font: Times New Roman, Size: 12pt
 
        - Spacing: 1.5 line spacing, Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
 
        - Sections: Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, 
		Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if any), Conflict of Interest Statement, 
		and References List.
 
		- Page Numbers: Include at the bottom right of each page
 
        - Referencing style: APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association 7th edition), Please use
    Macrofungi Template DOC

Peer Review Process:
    All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
	Review duration: approximately 3-4 weeks.
	Accepted papers are published online-first, followed by inclusion in the 
	next issue.
    How to Submit:
    Authors must register and use the Submit Article 
	form online.
All submissions will be acknowledged within 5-7 working days.
    Article Processing Charges (APC): No Publication Fees Now
    Currently, no fees are charged for submission or publication 
	until March 2026. There are some fees may be applied.
Ethical Guidelines
The journal follows COPE 
(Committee on Publication Ethics) standards. Authors must:
-Declare any conflicts of interest.
-Avoid plagiarism (Turnitin or iThenticate report recommended, <15% similarity, 
AI:  <20% (*star, by Turnitin), Do not exclude by size).
-Ensure ethical approvals are obtained for research involving animals or humans.
